New page

[[Category:Gear]]
After some threats of vandalism, and quite a bit of harassment, and eggs... I asked for help in acquiring a security camera system for my RV. And someone anonymously stepped up to help. After some trouble with the order getting shipped, I ended up buying a different system. A better one, so it worked out. It did end up costing double, with the Warranty, and buying a monitor for it, but well worth it. It does use a bit more power than I'd like, I had to double my battery bank and get a larger solar panel, but it's only barely enough. I will be needing to again double my battery bank, to have four 12v 150Ah batteries, but wire them into 24v 300Ah so that I can have more than 520w of solar. I just upgraded from 255w to 395w.

There is, however, one very big problem, the exported video files come out corrupted... And it took a bit to figure out a workaround.

Ultimately, I had to re-record the video by playing the video as a Media file in OBS Studio, and recording the playback. I think I also needed to convert the file using Format Factory, or that may have just been one of the failed attempts that wasn't necessary to attempt... As well as using VLC Player to attempt to repair the corrupted file, but I think that attempt failed too, to create a stable video file. And OBS can no longer capture the VLC screen.
