San Simeon Highway Pullouts
Between Cambria and Hearst Castle is San Simeon, and a series of pullouts along the side of the highway that are suitable for overnight parking. There are several that are marked "No Overnight Parking," but there are several that are not. There are signs which say no parking along the coastal side of the highway, in all spots, but the inland side is more accepted.
It took me a quite a long time to find one of these spots that had stable enough cell service for internet, but I finally did. It's a long vista point pull out on the coastal side, which has signs banning overnight parking, but directly across the road from the two entrances, it is ok to park overnight. So all I have to do is drive across the street each night, and then in the morning I can drive back, and be situated overlooking the ocean, and can have my door open. It's been pretty windy, but eventually I'll be able to set out a chair and table, and eat outside, and enjoy the sun.
